A extended edge emphasis method and its application to the expansion of images

Abstract(in English) It is well known that filters as the laplacian filters are used to emphasize the edgea of images. This method emphasize all edges uniformly and can not consider the resolution of the image. In this report, we extend the conventional filters to improve these problems. The proposed filters include the conventional filters as the special case and give a lot of freedom when emphasizing the edges of images. It is shown that the proposed method yields better results than those of the conventional method for the expansion of some images.
