Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a novel approach of packet error correction on ARQ control, which is named Partial Replacement ARQ(PRARQ). To perform re-transmission efficiently, all transmitted data should be used as much as effective if the data includes bit errors. Even if both a packet and its re-transmitted packet are errored, it is statistically possible to revive the packet by compounding them because the doubtful period in the packets can be found by comparing them bit-by-bit. This paper also reports its error correction performance under the environment for 5GHz WATM(or WLAN)system with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)and convolutional coding/Viterbi decoding. The computer simulation results show that the packet revival rate(PRR), which is the probability of the packet error correction from two errored packets, can be more than 70% under poor wireless communication environment of packet error rate(PER)of 0.1.
