Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The inevitable fluctuation in manufacturing processes produces a variation of performance of fabricated LSI chips whose design (mask pattern) is identical. Therefore, an important problem in LSI design is to maximize the percentage of fabricated chips which will achieve a certain performance level. This paper presents statistical performance analysis methods for RT-level datapath circuits. The methods predict the percentage of the fabricated datapaths which will work at a user given clock period.Based on the analysis methods, a module binding algorithm which maximizes the percentage is also proposed.Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm. |
