Interpolation Method for Image Resampling with a new kernel

Abstract(in English) In image processing, two-dimensional data interpolation is needed for enlargement of images. Nearest-neighbor, linear, and Quadratic interpolation methods are conventionally proposed for image reconstruction. These interpolation methods are represented by kernel functions. And the quality of interpolated image and complexity of computation depend on the kernels. In this paper, we propose a new kernel which computes the value of interpolating point from values of adjacent two points in original image. Proposed kernel has the linear phase and can achieves almost same visual quality of Quadratic interpolation, yet requires fewer computation cost.
