Conditions for the Minimal Realization of Two-Dimensional Digital Filters

Abstract(in English) Formerly, we proposed a straight state-space realization from of the transfer functions of two-dimensional digital filters. This straight state-space realization form can be directly obtained from the coefficients of the transfer functions of two-dimensional digital filters, without performing canonical decomposition of the state equations and solving nonlinear equations. In this paper, we present a class of transfer functions of two-dimensional digital filters that can be realized with a minimal dimension with respect to both of the two variables.
