A study on Reliable Multicast Scheme for Multimedia Interactive Satellite Communications System

Abstract(in English) This study aims at establishing the reliable multicast scheme applied to sending the pay information to the huge number of the users on multimedia satellite communications system. Considering the following points, three schemes are proposed. First point is to reduce the number of the acknowledgments from the user terminals and dispersing the arriving time of the acknowledgments. Second point is not to require the extensional buffer for the user terminal. Third point is to reduce the additional transmission time for the satellite propagation delay. Forth point is effective usage of the satellite circuit. Then the performance of the each proposed scheme was evaluated in the theoretical way. As a result, it made clear that in the acknowledgement concentration, the sliding window take effect for good PER (Packet Error Rate).
