Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A technique for realizing linear phase IIR filters has proposed by Powell and Chau. This technique is constructed by the following 3 subtechniques to realize a real-time recursive implementation of noncausal transfer function: 1) Approximating the IIR filter's impulse response length to a finite length L, 2) Dividing input and output signals of IIR filter into some sections with length L and operating time reversal in real-time for each section, and 3) Performing time regulation overlap-additionn for filter responses of consecutive two sections using a two-path IIR filter. However, 2) results in an L sample delay for each signal block, and an L+1 sample delay arises from 3). Thus, this technique incorporates a total of 3L+1 sample delay. In this paper, taking note of sample delay in 2), we propose a reduction of sample delay by shortening section length of signals by a integer factor (where shortened section length is also an integer length. This proposal can be reduced sample delay generated in this realization.
