Adaptive Estimation Method for Unknown Frequencies by Variable Sampling Processing

Abstract(in English) The estimation of sinusoidal signals in additive noise has many engineering applications. and a lot of techniques of the estimation have been worked out. We have proposed a new adaptive frequency estimation algorithm to update only the sampling frequency per any block. This algorithm is based on the synchronous addition / subtraction processing. The next step sampling frequency is changed considering the estimated frequency. In this paper, introducing the oversampling processing from the basic characteristics of the previous report is considered for the estimation algorithm of unknown frequencies. We examined the characteristics of this estimation algorithm by simulation, and showed the frequency resolution of the adjacent frequencies. The proposed algorithm is also compared with the conventional frequency estimation methods in terms of both estimation accuracy and computational complexity.
