Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The filtered-x algorithm is at present expected to solve various kinds of active noise control problems. This paper describes some trials to improve the performance of the filtered-x NLMS algorithm One of the improvements is the bias compensation to stabilize the adaptation dynamics and to reduce the convergence error. The other is a simplified variable step-size algorithm for fast computation and the step-size is controlled by the correlation between the input and error. Simulation results are given for the application to the active sound suppression of air-intake sounds in vehicle engines.
