Abstract(in English) | Detecting specific shape from image is an important problem in computer vision. This paper presents a new method for the detection of elliptic particles on a 2_D image. It consists of three processing steps : (1)detection of edges off elliptic particles using morphological filter and thinning ; (2)estimation of initial parameters of each ellipse equation by using a least sum of squares method ; and (3)optimization on the whole image. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method. |
