Abstract(in English) We developed X-band klystrons which employ the periodic permanent magnet (PPM) focusing instead of the conventional electromagnet focusing for Japan Linear Collider (JLC). With conventional focusing power consumption of the electromagnet is dominant in total energy consumption of the X-band klystron system including HV power supply. The PPM focused klystron features energy saving of this focusing power consumption The klystron has 7 cavities including a output cavity with 4-cell traveling wave structure. The beam transmission rate is as good as 98%, and The RF output power of 73 MW peak is generated with 1.4μsec pulse width and 54 % power efficiency.
