Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Arbitrary combinations of the 2nd and 3rd harmonic tunings are analyzed by simulations, which include class-F:the 2nd harmonic is short and the 3rd harmonic is open; and inverse class-F:the 3rd one is short and the 2nd one is open. The best harmonic tuning that exhibits the highest efficiency has been found to move from class-F to inverse class-F in accordance with larger gain-compression. The same transition of the best harmonic tuning has also been found with respect to higher load-resistance and smaller on-resistance (Ron). Using a waveform theory, the Ron dependence of the efficiency is described analytically.
