Abstract(in English) | Study of 9.46GHz FEL by the JLA Induction Linacs (JAERI Large sunrrent Accelerator:~2.5Mev, ~3kA, 160n)are undergoing now. In order to perform the output power of more than a few 100 MW by employing the beam current of 1kA, the 9.46 GHz focusing wiggler wiht an oversized waveguide of 129.54x64.77mm is developed. By the 3D-FEL simulation code, it found that TE_<11>, TE_<21> and TE_<51> mode excepting the designed mode of TE_<01> are amplified, the growth rate of TE_<21> mode is about 20 times higher than that of TE_<01> mode. This paper describes the rf properties of 9.4GH FEL using an oversized waveguide. |
