Abstract(in English) | Energy modulation of an electron beam with a CO_2 laser has been investigated. Experimental results have shown that electro-energy modulation of more than 13 eV for the electron beam with an initial energy of 80 keV has been successfully obtained by irradiating 10 kW pulses from the laser. The measured dependence of the electron-energy changes on laser power and initial velocity of the electrons have agreed with theory allowing for experimental errors. |
