Abstract(in English) An on-chip DC/DC converter with high efficiency and low-noise has been developed for low-power operation to LSIs. By the implementation of this DC/DC converter, not only single voltage operation but also drastically reduced power consumption of the entire system including LSIs are made possible. DC/DC converter has large-noise when switching, so an on-chip DC/DC converter is confined within narrow limits. A technique called Divided Switches with Current Control (DSCC) provides little degradation of power conversion efficiency. As a result, a DC/DC converter which has both efficiency over 94% and 15mV output noise is incorporated into an LSI.
