Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Nowadays, user authentication is strongly required to prevent user's mobile equipment from illegal use. This report presents the new LSI architecture which realizes to embed a fingerprint identification to these small equipment. The LSI architecture integrates fingerprint sensor and identifier in a single chip and to enhance the performance of the identifier using the parallel processing. The sensor which has electrical, physical and chemical tolerance is proposed. The sensor-unified fingerprint identifying LSI is fabricated using 0.5-μm CMOS, and the fingerprint sensing and identification is confirmed.
