Abstract(in English) | Development of 5OMW S-band pulsed operation klystron has been proceeded.Simulation result of FCI code predicted that a klystron with the same interaction structure as that of 3OMW klystron can generate 5OMW or higher peak power with larger focusing field.A prototype klystron with shorter overall length was fabricated and tested.The klystron showed output power of 51MW with conversion efficiency of 45%,while maintaining a good mechanical compatibility with the old 3OMW klystron.A long pill-box output window was used in order to reduce the electric field perpendicular to the ceramics surface. |
