Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A design method for a miniaturized MMIC using distributed elements has been proposed. In this method, the MMIC includes many meander lines placed closely. The performance of the MMIC can be simulated without serious error only based on combination of the electromagnetic results of individual meander lines, because meander lines are rarely affected by elementsaround those. The X-band 4-stage MMIC amplifier designed using this method has a gain of 30 dB and VSWR of lower than 1.3. The chip size is 3.3 X 2.0 mm^2. This method is very effective for the miniaturization of MMIC.
