Abstract(in English) The coupled-mode formulation on generation of phase conjugate wave by degenerate four-wave mixing is investigated with theoretical and experimental procedure on condition that the phase matching and paraxial approximation are not satisfied. Moreover, when a two dimensional transmission image is put on an input pump wave, we verify that this information is transferred from the pump wave to the phase conjugate wave. It is shown that emitting direction of phase conjugate wave is controlled by incident angle of forward pump wave.
