Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Signal gain saturation in a fiber optical parametric amplifier is described. High gain saturation region is studied, in which optical power transfer, that is from the pump to the signal and idler in unsaturation region, changes its direction reversely at high signal input powers. It is shown that the signal gain saturates soon when the signal wavelength is far separated from the pump wavelength. This wavelength dependency is explained by power-dependent phase-mismatch and its behavior in the high signal input region. Experiments for optical noise suppression utilizing the gain saturation characteristics are also presented.
