Abstract(in English) We describe the latest results of our study on the ultra-high speed optical waveform observation equipment (optical sampling oscilloscope) and the Optical Parametric Diffuser(OPD) that we proposed for a new optical sampling device. The OPD is based on four wave mixing in a semiconductor optical amplifier. We achieved the fiber-to-fiber gain of 16.5 dB and the 200nm gain bandwidth which specified the bandwidth of the gain over 8 dB at the driving current of DC 200 mA. We also achieved the very high conversion efficiency higher than -14 dB over the detuning wavelength of 83 nm in the wavelength conversion characteristics. A clear optical waveform is observed by optical sampling waveform measurement of 300 Gbit/s-optical pulse train using the OPD.
