Cycling Performance of a Lithium Metal Secondary Cell with an EC/DME Electrolyte

Abstract(in English) We studied the effect of the composition of ethylene carbonate (EC) and 1,2-Dimethoxyethane (DME) electrolyte on lithium metal secondary cell performance. The oxidation potential of EC/DME electrolyte exhibited more than the charging voltage of the cell. FOM with Li/Li cell exhibits the similar trend of FOM with Li/LiMn_<1.9>Co_<0.1>O_4 cell. The cell with the cathode which was used for cell cycling test provided almost the same performance as the initial cell test with the cathode. Consequently, cycle life of Li/LiMn_<1.9>Co_<0.1>O_4 cell with EC/DME electrolyte was determined by cycling efficiency of lithium anode.
