Phase change optical disk with reducedcross-crasc

Abstract(in English) We have newly developed phase change media with significantly reduced cross-erase. The computer simulation suggested that reduction of absorptivity of amorphous state be efrective in rcducing cross-erase. We have found that the absorptivity of the amorPhous state can be reduced with the use of tri-layer dielectirc film. It has been confirmed that the recording capacity of 6GB/surface can be achieved for the newly developed phase change media.
