A study on bare fiber connector type LD module

Abstract(in English) We have studied Physical-Contact(PC)connect of bare fibers for lower cost of receptacle type optical module. This module don't use ferrule. Connection losses of the module were 0.3dB or less, and return losses of connect point were more than 40dB. Fluctuation of optical output power due to detachments of optical connector were 0.1dB or less.
