Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Dual Optimum Substrate-thickness Lens (DOSL), which was developed for compatible read-out both of DVD and CD with a wavelength of 650 nm, is newly extended to phase-shifted DOSL for CD-R read-out with a wavelength of 780 nm. Dichromatic annular phase shifter is built in DOSL to reduce spherical aberrations caused by substrate thickness differences in both wavelengths of 650 nm for DVD and 780 nm for CD-R. Data to data jitter of both DVD and CD read-out are 10.1% and 7.4%, respectively.
