Abstract(in English) The market of optical-pickup head for reading and writing data on optical disk becomes larger and larger, as CD system being popular. In these days, in further progress with DVD, optical-pickups are developed activity. We report diffraction properties of polarized grating device using newly synthesized polymerized liquid crystals. It shows high total diffraction efficiency, so it seems suit for the beam splitting device in optical pickup head.
