Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have been studying a new-concept of electrochromy for a high- speed color change effect of polalization to a t-t* system by applying a voltage. As the material,a hetero-LB thin film was prepared where a mixture film of derivatives of paranitroaniline and arachidic acid was alternatively deposited on a Lutetium- diphthalocyanine film.By applying a voltage to the multi layered LB film with 15 unit layers,we observed the change of the optical density(few tens %),.while the shift of optical absorption peaks were not observed. The obtained results indicate that the high possibility to obtain a new class of a display.material, though the reproducibility of the phenomena for the materials in this work was poor.
