Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently a polymeric A1C60 phase (A:alkali metals) has been mentioned as a new class of functional Fullerene compounds. In this work we firstly succeeded in a synthesis of the polymeric Rb1C60 phase by an electrolysis technique. The used electrolyte solution was the mixture of 0.3 mM-C60, 0.1 N-RbClO4 and N, N-Dimethylformamide (DMF)/Toluene (1:1). The anode and the cathode were silver plates and the reference electrode was Ag/Ag^+. The typical conditions of the electrolysis were as the following : the current density of 0.5μA/cm^2, the deposition time of 10~200hr, and the reaction temperature of 10~60℃. After the electrolysis a black film was obtained on the cathode plate. It was found from the observation of the film microstructure that the film growth mode was strongly dependent on the reaction temperature. The spindle-like structure with the length of about 1μ m was observed in the film deposited under comparatively high temperature. The existence of the polymeric Rb1C60 phase was also Confirmed in the film.
