| Abstract(in English) | As fiber-to-the-home sysytems with WDM signals for video and digital transmission approaches large-scale deployment, one critical issue for widespread acceptance is the availability of low cost WDM modules at the subscriber level. We propose and demonstrate a novel optical receiver module with all passively aligned components, in which the photodiode is surface-mounted on a substrate which has a singlemode fiber embedded circuit. High detector performance is realized for 1.3 and 1.55 μm WDM signals. |
