BGS wave resonator using piezoelectric ceramic substrate and its application

Abstract(in English) An edge surface reflection type BGS wave resonator using piezoelectric ceramic substrate is characterized by its super-miniature, wide band and no need for tuning frequency. We have applied, realized and supplied those resonators for additional traps in TV・VTR VIF circuits. Those additional traps are required two types of resonators at fap (adjacent picture carrier) and fas (adjacent sound carrier). In this paper, we propose a BGS wave resonator having two of three resonances for both of fap and fas by applying the frequency characteristic of weighed IDT and reflections at free edges of the substrate. We confirmed sufficient attenuation for practical use for both of fap and fas in the VIF circuit.
