| Abstract(in English) | The mechanical optical switch is considered to be an appropriate device for changing the route of light transmission at the accident of the optical communication network, because it has low insertion loss, wavelength independence and latching function. A new type mechanical optical switch composed of cantilever-like optical wave guides and micro electromagnetic actuators is proposed. This paper describes the experimental results about the process to fabricate the cantilever-like optical wave guides and the latch-type micro electromagnetic actuators. |
