Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) On the noise removal from image sequences, many studies have been reported. By the method using a linear filter, it is difficult to distinguish whether the abrupt change in the value of image pixel is due to the noise or motion. A neural filter, a kind of nonlinear filter, is applicable to such problems. In this paper two applications of neural filters to noise removal of image sequences are presented. One is the ALE type three-dimensional neural filter and another is the learning type three-dimensional neural filter. Simulation results show the validity of the proposed scheme.
