Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It has been well known that pitch fluctuations included in vowel signals are indespensable for speech signals to be perceived as natural human sound. In the standard speech synthesis based on liear predictive coding(LPC)technique, it is important to develop some artificial modelthat gives rise to natural pitch fluctuations inthe synthesized speech. In this paper, we study some important elements that make significant contributions to the natural pitch fluctuations in the LPC modeling of vowels.
