Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In case of recording images which have a wide dynamic range by using narrow dynamic range media and replaying them, fine contrast changes in bright or dark areas can be left unseen. This,is because that the dynamic range of the input images is compressed to adjust to that of recording media, and the changes of the contrast components become smaller. In this paper, one method to enhance the contrast components of such images by using fuzzy theory is proposed. In the proposed method, various kinds of images are able to be successfully processed by using the same member ship functions.
