Poles and Zeros of the Reflection Coefficient in the Quantum Scattering Rroblem

Abstract(in English) We have considered the quantum scattering problem where the system is governed by the one-dimensional Schrodinger equation. Under certain assumptions on the external potentials,we have obtained some results on the distribution of poles and zeros of the reflection coefficient as a function of a complex energy E. Among others,we have shown poles and zeros are either real or appear in complex conjugate pairs in the E-plane as well as P=-j E- V_0-plane.Poles have also been shown to be restricted in the open left-half p-plane.These facts indicate that the reflection coefficient might be treated in a similar manner as the bounded real functions in the circuit theory.A simple structure has been proposed and analyzed to yield analytical expressions of reflection coefficient,the poles and the zeros.This example confirms the above results and offers us much more detailed information of the characteristics of that particular structure.
