Abstract(in English) | Novel circuit design techniques for bipolar very low-voltage linear transconductance amplifiers are presented. The conventional multi-tanh technique are rediscussed, and an adaptively biased emitter-coupled differential pair with resistive divider and multitail cells, such as a triple-tail cell and a quadritail cell, are also discussed as bipolar very low-voltage linear transconductance amplifiers. Furthermore, the super-multi-tanh technique and the ultra-multi-tanh technique for bipolar very low-voltage linear transconductance amplifiers with wide linear input voltage range those are obtained by exchanging unbalanced or balanced emitter-coupled pairs in the multi-tanh cell with unbalanced or balanced triple-tail cells, are proposed. Therefore, the conventional multi-tanh technique can be expanded to the super-and ultra-multi-tanh techniques by utilizing unbalanced and balanced triple-tail cells instead of unbalanced or balanced emitter-coupled pairs. Each differential output current of these bipolar very low-voltage linear transconductance amplifiers is expressed in the form of a fractions with a summation of hyperbolic sine functions in the numerator and a summation of hyperbolic cosine functions in the denominator. Furthermore, the measured transfer curves of these bipolar very low-voltage linear tarnsconductance amplifiers, such as a multi-tanh doublet, an adaptively biased emitter-coupled differential pair with resistive divider, a triple-tail cell, a quadritail cell, a super-multi-tanh doublet and ultra-multi-tanh doublets, at a 1-V suply voltage are shown and obtained practical linear input voltage ranges are compared among them. |
