Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, an accuracy evaluating system for speech analysis algorithms that uses spectra estimated from real-speech analysis is proposed. This evaluating system can evaluate accuracy of speech analysis algorithms more objectively and more quantitatively than conventional evaluating methods. Concretely, regarding the spectra estimated by LPC or EMIS as reference spectra, a new waveform is synthesized using well-known driving waves. Then this synthesized wave is analyzed by LPC and EMIS, again. the evaluation is performed by comparing the reference spectra and the re-analyzed spectra. Using this method, EMIS, that is proposed as one of adaptive speech analysis algorithms, provides better results than LPC. The result confirms the superiority of the EMIS, especially in voiced consonants.
