Abstract(in English) | Signal word decomposed filters (SWDF) composed of parallel internal filters are non-linear FIR systems; nevertheless, their maximum output error spectra (MOES) can be evaluated. This paper presents an analytical equation to estimate peak values of the MOES of optimal SWDFs. By using the equation, minimal output errors of optimized SWDFs with specified amount of operations can be analytically estimated. Further, this paper shows an analytical equation to estimate the numbers of taps of optimal internal filters. Thus those numbers of taps can be determined without an optimization. In many design examples, we compare the analytically estimated errors and number of taps with those obtained by the optimization and then confirm that the analytical estimation is accurate. |
