| Abstract(in English) | The worldwide competition in the development on higher density digital storage system is growing more and more heated every year. In this situation, the essential role of 『 coding and signal processing technique 』for improving area density has kept on getting bigger. This paper surveys the expectant aspects based on Shannon's brilliant 1948 paper to 『 coding and signal processing technique 』 tied the prosperity in the next century. Future breakthrough research directions are also addressed. |
