Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In todays video delivery and broadcast networks, the copyright protection has become more important problem. Digital watermarking is the technique which embeds an invisible signal including owner identification and copy control information into multimedia data for copyright protection. In this paper, we propose a new watermarking method suitable for compressed video. The method is based on modifying DCT coefficients according to "energy difference". The watermark is embedded directly into the MPEG bitstream without increasing the bit-rate and decreasing quality. The scheme is of much lower complexity than a complete decoding process followed by watermarking in the pixel domain and re-encoding.
