Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In adaptive filters, the LMS and the Normalized LMS algorithm have been mainly used for estimating unknown systems. However, their convergence properties are poor for colored input signals. While the Orthogonal Projection Algorithms(OPA′s),such as the Affine Pro jection Alobrithm and the Block Orthogonal Projection-Algorithm, are proposed for fast convergence, their convergence properties are still not well-known.In this paper,we present a new geometrical interpretation for such orthogonal projection algorithms, and analyze their properties by using this interpretation. Then,we show that the higher dimensional OPA achieves faster conoergence at the cost of good parameter estimation.
