Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A decoding algorithm which executes maximum likelihood decoding(MLD)by using bounded distance decoding is known as a soft- decision decoding. However a problem is to reduce complexity of bounded distance decoding to execute MLD.On the other hand,GMD decoding is well known as an apfioximate of MLD.Recently GMD decoding in which an algebraic decoding is executed only once has been developed. In this paper we propose efficient MLD algorithm by using GMD decoding for several times. We also show that complexity for calculating syrifirome can be reduced when we use algebraic decoding several times required for soft-decision decoding. Moreover we provide an efficient algorithm to generate the sequences to be decoded to a maximum likelihood Cpdeword more efficiently. We show that the decoding complexity can be considerably reduced in the computer simulations.
