Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A third-order polynomial without memory presenting nonlinearity of laser diode is used to predict the intermodulation distortion of direct-sequence code division multiple access(DS, CDMA)system using optical transmission. It is different from frequency-division multiple access(FDMA)that in DS/CDMA system each user employs its own code and the common center frequency. For the second-order intermodulation term is generated by the direct current and the double frequency component, and the third-order term is generated by the signal frequency and the triple frequency component, only a part of the third-order term causes intermodulation distortion and interference between muldplexing signals which reduce the performance of system. The theoretical average distortion is calculated and can be obtained without infomation of the cross- correlation functions.
