A study on Estimation of Carrier Frequency Offset in M-ary/SS communication System

Abstract(in English) It is well known that M-ary/spread spectrum (M-ary/SS) communication system is superior to direct-sequence spread spectrum system under AWGN, and can achieve high spectral efficiency. However if there exists carrier frequency offset, its performance deteriorates. We proposed M sequence type Hadamard code as robust orthogonal spread sequences against carrier frequency offset and new receiver using FFT (Fast Fourier Transfer) for proposed code. This receiver can perform decodings even at the ranges faster than its symbols rate. However, if there exists no carrier frequency offset, the error performance of this receiver is inferior to that of conventional receiver with matched filters. In this paper, a new receiver to combine receiver with FFT and carrier of evaination shows that the error performances of new receiver are improved drastically.
