Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we evaluate the effect of nonlinearity of the amplifier in the transmitter to the performance of the band-limited DS/SS CDMA systems using π/4-shift QPSK and π/2-shift BPSK. A band-pass hard-limiter (BPHL) is employed as the model of the nonlinear amplifier. As a result, it is shown that both modulation schemes are robust to nonlinear amplification from the viewpoint of error rate performance. It is also shown that, after nonlinear amplification preceded by the bandwidth limitation, π/2-shift BPSK has narrower bandwidth than π/4-shift QPSK.
