Image Data Encryption Suitable for Commercial TV Program

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we present a new encryption method, for a color stationary image, which is suitable for a payment program. Compression method used here is the JPEG algorithm based on DCT (Descrete Cosine Transform). We determine the parameters of the proposed method by repeatedly perfoming computer simulation. The parameter gives the viewers a nice impression and it yields no significant reduction of the compression rate. Furthermore, to encrypt image data more efficiently, we classify the given image data into one of the four groups based on the statistical character of image data. We show that the images in each group can be encrypted well by our algorithm.
