Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In mobile communication using trellis coded modulation, a burst error whose length is about a constraint length of the code is occurred by cycle slip when fading exists. In this paper, we investigate a coding/decoding system which recovers effect of cycle slip. We propose a new method which employs another trellis with added cycle slip states in multidimensional trellis-coded modulation,2×4 PSK, and show that this system can fill up a lost symbol caused by cycle slip.
