Abstract(in English)	We have developed a prototype for the "Security Enhanced MAIL gateway(SEMAIL)" in order to preserve E-mail network security in each organization without changing the network environment, which adopts normal LAN mail systems without any encryptions. SEMAIL in the sender side automatically signs a E-mail message from a LAN mail system and then encrypts it. SEMAIL in the receiver side decrypts the encrypted message, checks the signiture and then sends it to a LAN mail system. The "SEMAIL", in which the encryption program PGP(Pretty Good Privacy) is used, is available for both POP3-based UNIX mails and PC-LAN-based ones.
