Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In optical composite burst switched (OCBS) network, packets located in a former part of a burst are more frequently discarded by the burst blocking on output data channels at intermediate nodes. In this paper, we propose a packet rearrangement in consideration of the length and service classes of packets contained in a burst. Our proposed scheme rearranges packets in ascending order of the length at the time of burst assembly. Thereby, we can improve the packet loss probability in OCBS. Furthermore, by rearranging packets according to the required QoS, we can map classes in order of the row of the packets in a burst. Thereby, our proposed scheme can provide a basic QoS. By computer simulations, we evaluate the QoS performance in terms of packet loss probability. As a result, we show that our scheme can not only improve packet loss probability but also provide a basic QoS.
