Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Future IP networks will be multi-service networks that can provide multiple levels of Quality of Services (QoS) at different prices. This paper proposes a scheme that maximizes the income of the network service provider (NSP) by controlling the service-list under the constraint of fixed network resources. We introduce a model in which the users' service choice from among the multiple services is influenced not by the price and QoS of one class, but the prices and QoS levels of all classes. To model the users' service choice, we adopt discrete choice analysis. We propose a functional framework that consists of Users Choice Model Function, Demand Forecast Function, and Service-list Determination Function. We implement the proposed functions, develop a prototype system and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme under a simulated condition for one multi-service example.
